Balmoral in Manx Waters May 2007

Saturday May 26, Balmoral arrived at Douglas from Whitehaven before departing again and heading for a coastal cruise to the Calf of Mann returning via Port St. Mary.

BALMORAL arrived again from Whitehaven on Sunday May 26, but in very different weather conditions. With a string wind blowing Laxey Towing company's tug LONAN assisted berthing. With the winds expected to peak in the afternoon the coastal cruise to Ramsey Bay unfortunately had to be cancelled and BALMORAL remained on Victoria Pier for the whole afternoon. A heavy downpour coincided with her departure!

Conditions were very different again on Monday May 28. A fine sunny day but an unseasonably cold wind! BALMORAL operated a cruise to the Calf via Port St. Mary - she is seen above near Calf Sound, approaching Port St. Mary, passing Derby Haven and arriving at Douglas.
