KING HARRY VII is seen on the Philliegh side of the River Fal on Easter Saturday (March 22, 2008) A strong northerly wind was blowing which resulted in the chain ferry taking a more southerly course than usual despite the tide being on the flood. In the first photograph the Penryn Rowing Club's pilot gig MORLADER is seen heading downstream. I

In the second photograph the PRIDE OF FALMOUTH formerly the British Railways Western Region and later Sealink KIngswear to Dartmouth passenger ferry ADRIAN GILBERT which now operates for K&S Cruises is seen heading upstream towards Truro.
