KING HARRY VII is seen on the Philliegh side of the
River Fal on Easter Saturday (March 22, 2008) A strong northerly
wind was blowing which resulted in the chain ferry taking a more
southerly course than usual despite the tide being on the flood. In
the first photograph the Penryn Rowing Club's pilot gig MORLADER is
seen heading downstream. I In the second
photograph the PRIDE OF FALMOUTH formerly the British Railways
Western Region and later Sealink KIngswear to Dartmouth passenger
ferry ADRIAN GILBERT which now operates for K&S Cruises is seen
heading upstream towards Truro. |
