Snaefell - A New Look for an Old Friend

Photographs © John H. Luxton 2007

On Saturday December 22, 2007 SEA EXPRESS I, (ex SEACAT ISLE OF MAN) emerged from Cammell Laird #5 dry dock displaying her new name SNAEFELL and traditional Steam Packet livery. The return the traditional livery is accompanied by the application of an attractive and purposeful new logo which restores the company's full title rather than the truncated "Steam Packet Company". SNAEFELL was taken into Birkenhead Docks by Smit tugs and delivered to NSL Bidston when she joined STENA LYNX III.
