Snaefell Waits at Bidston

Photographs © David Fairclough 2008

SNAEFELL (ex SEACAT ISLE OF MAN, ex SEA EXPRESS 1) is seen outside the NSL Bidston Yard on April 12, 2008. She looks very much complete, sea trials must not be very far away. It is good to see that this little vessel survived her altercation with the ALASKA RAINBOW despite the pessimists prognostications of her demise as a consequence. SNAEFELL is in company with MOONDANCE sister to the ill fated Riverdance a ship which didn't get another chance. But as everyone knows a "cat has nine lives" and perhaps it applies to 'seacats' too!"  MOONDANCE is attending NSL for stern door repairs.
