Sea Express I Collision Damage Close Ups

Photographs © John H. Luxton 2007

The movement of SEA EXPRESS I from the Cammell Laird wet basin to the West Float berth adjacent to the Duke Street bridge has provided the opportunity for a close look at the temporary collision damage repairs which have been made.

The main gash in the starboard hull has been covered by a temporary patch, whilst wooden wedges have been inserted into a smaller hole above the water line.  Rumour has it - she may well be repaired and put back into service. So there may be life in the old cat yet!
