After spending exactly one
month in dry dock at Cammell Laird, Birkenhead EMERAUDE FRANCE
emerged on to the Mersey around 12:15 on May 19. She had entered the
yard on
April 19, 2007. Despite her month in dry dock she emerged with
her Emeraude Ferries livery intact with no attempt having been made
to remove the defunct company's fleet name, web address or logos.
Even her dummy funnel had not received "steam packet red" . One
would have thought that the Emeraude fleet names would have been
removed. After emerging from Lairds she crossed the river to
Prince's Landing Stage for bunkers where she was secure at 12:37.
She remained at the stage until 13:27 departing for where she
arrived around 17:00. Her slow crossing to Douglas, was according to
an correspondent, due to problems with one of her engines, |
