Emeraude France at Whitehaven

Photographs © Kevin Bennett 2007

On Wednesday August 08, 2007 EMERAUDE FRANCE operated what is likely to prove to be the vessel's only visit to Whitehaven when she operated a day excursion round trip from Douglas to Whitehaven in the morning and again in the evening. She carried a capacity load from Whitehaven to Douglas and back, with around 150 passengers from Douglas undertaking the excursion from Douglas to Whitehaven.

Kevin Bennett has captured her arrival and departure and the activities of the pilot vessel. A crane, just visible in some of the photographs, was used to place the gangway.
