KINGSWEAR BELLE is seen arriving at Dartmouth Station Landing Stage on October
28, 2003 on the regular cross river ferry sailing from Kingswear Station. This
vessel is almost exclusively used on the ferry crossing it has limited seating
and a small open deck to the rear, little more than a balcony. Its high
standee capacity come into its own during the summer months when making
connection with the Kingswear - Paignton trains operated by the company.
As the commentary on the harbour cruise
sailings are fond of pointing out Dartmouth Station is the only
railway station in Britain which has never had a rail connection! |
