Queen Elizabeth 2 - Final Call at Liverpool

Photographs © Ian Collard & John H. Luxton 2008

QUEEN ELIZABETH 2 is seen arriving at Liverpool for the final time on Friday October 03, 2008. She had been scheduled to arrive at 12:00 having sailed overnight from Cóbh via Douglas Bay, Isle of Man.  Though QE2 arrived on the river on time it wasn't possible to make her fast until around 13:00 - one hour behind schedule due to prevailing winds and tidal conditions. (Ian Collard).

Photographs taken from Mersey Ferry SNOWDROP around 16:20 to 16:45.(John H. Luxton)
