On Monday August 30, GRAND PRINCESS [108,806grt] became the largest passenger ship ever to berth in Carrick Roads off Falmouth. Passengers being ferries ashore by the ships tenders for. The arrival of the giant vessel saw the largest throughput of passengers handled from a single ship in the history of the port with over 30 coaches being mustered from around Cornwall to provide for shore excursions. The majority of passengers on the ship were Americans, who had joined the GRAND PRINCESS in Copenhagen. The trip will involve maiden calls at many ports including Dover, Falmouth, Dublin, Greenock and Belfast.
