Of the many ships on the move on Saturday December 23, 2006 only ARKLOW RIVER maintained the Christmas tradition of mounting a Christmas tree on the ships mast. A few years ago this was a much more common occurrence and even undertaken by the Mersey Ferries and the Isle of Man Steam Packet's Lady of Mann.
