Island Lady at Penzance - IoSSCo Merseyside Connection

Isles of Scilly Steamship Company's recently acquired ISLAND LADY is seen in the dock at Penzance on October 22, 2007. She  is a former MoD Tank Landing Craft built by McTay Marine of Bromborough (yard number 67) of 1986. The vessel is 90ft long with 22ft beam. She is powered by twin Dorman Long diesels powering twin variable pitch propellors. The vessel is being used to support the off island quay reconstruction project being undertaken by Nuttall John Martin - the Steamship Company having won the transportation contract for plant and materials.
