Gry Maritha - A Deeper Shade of Blue

Photographs © Chris Jones 2006

GRY MARITHA has at last regained the dark blue hull colour which she wore when first delivered to the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company. The dark blue certainly suits the vessel better than the previous light blue. However, like her fleet-mate SCILLONIAN III her days in service are now numbered as the Isles of Steamship Company look to replace both vessels with a single passenger-cargo vessel by the end of the decade. She is seen here at the Lighthouse Pier, Penzance (left) and in the wet dock at the Isles of Scilly Steam Ship Company berth (right).
