Gold Rover Arrives

Small Fleet Tanker GOLD ROVER arrived on the Mersey on July 05, 2008. She made a rendezvous with Smit tugs off Cammell Laird before being taken down river to Alfred Lock where she entered the Birkenhead Dock system bound for NSL Bidston. GOLD ROVER was built in 1974 by Swan Hunter.

Her arrival on the Mersey came the same week as Northwestern Shiprepairers announced the securing of a major contract with the the MoD to maintain Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels.
