LE Orla At Sandon Dock

Photographs © John H. Luxton 2006

Back in 1997 LE CIARA became the first Irish Naval Service vessel to visit Merseyside and has visited on a number of occasions since. Over the weekend of July 01/02, 2006 her sister vessel LE ORLA made her second visit. The visit had for some time been listed as being due for June 24/25.

She was rather unimaginatively berthed at the former Sandon Dock, sludge boat berth. Click Here for more information about LE ORLA.
