| The passenger ferry DAVID F was originally built as the ZWOLLE in the Netherlands in 1962. DAVID F was operated by Marine Transport Services Ltd serving the Whiddy Island Oil Terminal in Bantry Bay until 1970. Leased by Maritime Transport Services Ltd to the Naval Service until 1989 DAVID F passed into INS ownership. She is seen [top row] on July 24 departing from the Naval Service pier at Cóbh. [tr: RAVEN]. Originally built for Marine Transport Services Ltd by Arklow Engineers Ltd in 1981 as the WHITE POINT.
FIACH DUBH was sold to the Irish Naval Service in December 1985. FIACH DUBH has a passenger capacity of 51. She is seen here in the Naval Service |
