On the morning of Friday October
14, HMS SEVERN steamed into the Mersey and berthed at the Mersey
Ferries Landing Stage. There she embarked the new Lieutenant Governor
of the Isle of Man - Vice Admiral Sir Paul Haddacks.
Obviously the admiral wasn't
taking any chances, his predecessor Air Marshall Ian Macfadyen
chose to travel on SUPERSEACAT TWO when he departed from Douglas at
the end of his tour of duty. SUPERSEACAT TWO developed an
untimely technical problem and suffered a delay of almost three hours! |
