Ropax 1 - Departs from Birkenhead

Photographs © Ian Collard 2008

ROPAX 1 - the former MALMO LINK now owned by Channel Freight Ferries and managed by ASP Ship Management is seen departing from Birkenhead following conversion work undertaken by North Western Ship Repairers. A comparison of the ship's appearance above, with that when she arrived during summer 2007 clearly shows the significant changes made during her conversion from a passenger carrying vehicle / train ferry to a conventional ro/pax configuration. ROPAX 1 is believed to be heading to the Mediterranean for operation out of Tunisia.
