ASUKA II visited the Mersey as a call on her Around the World voyage on May 24, 2007. Passengers being tendered by Mersey Ferries ROYAL IRIS OF THE MERSEY.

The Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) cruise ship ASUKA II (48,621 grt) was originally built by Mitsubishi as the CRYSTAL HARMONY for the NYK Crystal Cruises division. Crystal Cruises targets the United States passenger market. In 2006 CRYSTAL CRUISES was renamed ASUKA II and transferred to the Japanese cruise trade.
