These pictures of the former Port of Cork Liner Tender CILL AIRNE were taken on May 24, 2008. The design will be familiar to Merseysiders as she was designed by marine architects Graham and Woollnough, designers of the present Mersey Ferries. CILL AIRNE and her slightly younger sister BLARNA were the last riveted vessels to be constructed at the Liffey Dockyard in Dublin. She has been restored to immaculate condition and has recently reopened as a very nice bar and restaurant a visit to the ship, berthed on the North Wall is a highly recommended watering hole for any ship enthusiast visiting Dublin.
