Duke of Lancaster at Fifty

TSS DUKE OF LANCASTER launched in 1955 by Harland and Wolff and delivered to British Railways in 1956 for the Belfast - Heysham service. Sold in 1979 she found a short lived role as a "fun ship" beached near Mostyn. However, the venture was not  a success. She was used for commercial storage by a Liverpool based fashion retailers. However, even that use appears to have ceased. How much longer she will survive remains to be seen.
