Royal Iris Revisited - Evidence of Life on Board!

Photographs © Jenny Williamson 2007

Another look at the former Wallasey ferry Royal Iris which continues to lie on the Thames. Interestingly there does appear to be someone living on board and evidence of some maintenance as painting can be seen being undertaken in the middle photograph and washing hanging out on the right hand images.

But he big question is with Liverpool 2008 Capital of Culture just around the corner - why can't the money be found to bring her back home. I am sure many Merseysiders would rather the ROYAL IRIS back than that weird and wonderful Museum building which no one appears to want!
