Excellent publication.
I am researching the shipping and ship repair industry on Merseyside and its effect on the economy of the region, I hope to gather information on the economic impacts of the industry ie the decline and rebirth of companies such as Cammell Laird. I also hope to review the impact which the ship repair industry has had upon the River Mersey from historic pollutants and the manner in which the industry is now undertaking its environmental responsibilities.
Can anyone help?

As a former Liverpudlian I was delighted to find your webpage. As a small boy growing up in Liverpool, I can fondly remember the excitement of a trip on the Overhead Railway from Seaforth to Dingle looking at all the ships in the various docks, loading and unloading cargo from round the world. A recent visit home reveals that all has changed, no Overhead, very few ships except at the Gladstone dock. But your welcome webpage is one thing I have bookmarked, and I will be back for another visit shortly.

A really interesting site full of useful information. I especially enjoyed
the photos of the MV Adviser and MV Andes, which I remember fondly from the
1980's berthed at Seaforth. I'll keep returning to the site for regular 'hits'!
Keep up the good work.
Also, Is it true that Grimaldi Line are starting a service from
Liverpool?

Hobart, Tasmania - 06.12.99/1115hrs UTC. Have found you through Ann
Blackler's "Shipping on the Internet" feature in December's "Sea Breezes"
magazine. Have had a most interesting hour scanning all aspects of M&ISS -
have been a shipping enthusiast from childhood in Scotland (now a serving
Shipmaster out here on the Australian coast) and my major interest is in Incat
matters. I correspond, on a regular basis, with Justin Merrigan on Incat matters
for his monthly "Ferry World" feature in "Sea Breezes" - M&ISS has a lot of
appeal, for its wide ranging content matter, I'll be a regular! Brgds.
